Tiny Tales from the Tee

In 2021, the Foundation’s 20th year, the vaccine arrived and while we hoped COVID-19 was on its way out it continued to challenge normalcy.  As the weather warmed up, we did get back to the game we love and continued to focus on our mission of promoting the game of golf to all women and junior girls and providing scholarships to deserving young women.

We began sharing anecdotes from our own lives to inspire and as we turn to the next 20 years, we continue to share our Tiny Tales from the Tee.

Our story tellers keep it really, really short – no more than 135 words.  It can be happy, sad, inspiring, funny or poignant, capturing a moment while you were on or around the golf course.  We are hoping that these stories incentivize young women to play golf, dispel any notion that golf is dull, and inspire our members to donate to the Foundation so that we can keep promoting the game of golf and help deserving young women with limited resources attain their higher education goals.

We invite all to participate and we prefer if the tale was about a human connection rather than the rules of golf.   We will publish all appropriate entries we receive.  You must include your name when submitting your entry but we will publish your anecdote anonymously, if you prefer. If you’d like to submit a picture along with your short story, we will publish that as well.

Please submit your entry to foundation@wmga.com.
